It’s almost time for Halloween and spice shop owner Anise Salis is settling into a routine with her new employee, Lincoln, when a fatal hit-and-run sets off a series of unexpected events triggering a PTSD response from the man she barely knows. The woman accused of the murder comes to Anise for help and inadvertently leaves her young son to be cared for by Anise and Lincoln as they struggle to prove her innocence.
